0 Don't Let Anyone Tell You Who You Are!
Posted by Unknown on 5:00 PM · 0 comments
Be who you want to be. Ask yourself what YOU want and not what other people want of you. This is your life, you are the main character in your own story. You write your own story in this life.
Forget about the others. Take a moment and think about only yourself. If you were alone in this world, nobody left but you, what would you want to be? A model, a singer, a doctor? Or maybe just a simple girl. Don't complicate stuffs. Others don't go through what you will be going through so eff them. They have no right to tell you who you are.
You want to be beautiful, be beautiful. Think you are beautiful. Nobody knows you better than YOU! Don't let others tell you you are not beautiful. Don't let those ugly things get to you. You are beautiful and you are YOU!
0 Nude Nail Polish!
Posted by Unknown on 2:52 PM · 0 comments
I'm really into the nude color nail polish lately. Neutral colors are my favorites for nails. Pastel colors are awesome too, but I like it more for the spring time. Today I painted my nails with Sephora by O.P.I.
I actually know the name of the color because it's a mini polish. I threw away the box that came with it and the bottle doesn't have the name of it.
TIP: one way to make nail polish dry faster is to deep your nails into a bowl of cold water for a minute or two. Don't wipe afterwards. Gently shake off the water.

Yeah, I'm no pro at painting my nails. I love the color though. I got the box of mini Sephora polish last year for Christmas. It came with more than 10 mini polishes. I like it a lot. You can try out new colors and not have to buy the whole size bottle till you know you like it.
The tiny polishes last very long. I don't paint my nails often, but I do like to add a few coats to make the polish last and bring out more the color. I haven't emptied any of the polishes yet and I think some that I use more often are still a little above half way.
Here's a picture of the mini polish that I used. Cute!
0 Chinese Congee!
Posted by Unknown on 12:04 PM · 0 comments
I grew up eating Chinese congee. Is a must-know recipe for chinese people. It is rice porridge. It can be eaten anytime. Awesome for sick days. It's like chicken soup in the states.
It is mostly eaten in the morning as breakfast to give your digestive system a good start of the day. It is like a rice broth so it's easy to digest. That's why many chinese grandmothers would give child congee when they are starting to eat solids.
You can add anything to it. Eggs, meat, scallions, ginger,etc...
You can even eat it plain without anything, not even salt. I've eaten more congee than any other things in my life. This morning my mom added some duck eggs and meat to the congee.
It was amazing!
I like to add some fresh scallion because it adds that extra flavor to it. Maybe I added a little bit too much. You pour the hot congee over the scallions and mix it. Some people add it on top of the congee but I like it when the hot congee covers it bringing out more of scallion's flavor.
For people who are not used to it, might look kinda weird, but trust me, it taste way better tan it looks. I don't think it looks bad anyway. Have a great day everybody and I hope you're craving some congee right now... haha
0 Sour Rocks!
Posted by Unknown on 12:14 AM · 0 comments
Sour dried plums is my favorite childhood snack. Nothing beats it. I've been eating it since little and still like them very much. Now not as much as before though, but no other sour things can replace it.
They look like rocks and feels like a rock. Some brand has a tint of sweetness in them and some makes them extra salty which enhance the sourness of it. Right now they are making it less sour and not as good as before. Nothing beats the old days' snacks. Now they have too many brands and flavors. They add weird flavors to everything.
I say that I don't like it as much as before because the taste and feel is not the same. Nothing is the same as before. I tried to accept the new tastes, but it's just not as good. Some are too dry to even taste anything. *sigh* If I had a time machine, I would use it to go back to time and grab all the old school snacks that there is in China.

0 It's Okay Once In a While!

I looooove coffee. I'm not an addict but I love coffee lol. I only drink once in a while because I don't want to "need coffee" for my daily life. I don't even know of it wakes me up or not. Sometimes I feel like it works, but sometimes I feel like it does nothing at all.
The Starbucks near my house is always packed. I also don't want to spend too much money on a cup of coffee, even though their coffee really is amazing.
My 7-Eleven is right next to the subway station. It is very convenient since I take the subway to almost everywhere I go. I remember this one time when I was in a hurry and wanted a coffee real bad. I went inside 7-Eleven, pour my coffee, I usually just add milk, but i wanted cream this time, I grab what I thought was cream, add it to the coffee, and went to pay for it. I got to the station right when the train was about to leave.
I sat down with my cup of coffee really pissed. I got a drink and spit it out! More like shoot out. The coffee was sour! Ew!! I thought that their coffee went bad or something. That day was a really bad day for me.
I found out the next day that what I grabbed thinking that it was cream, it was actually some sort of fruit stuffs. But hey! You learn from your mistakes lol I never made that same mistake again! haha

0 Material Things Do Make Me Happy!
Posted by Unknown on 11:35 PM · 0 comments
Little things in life can affect how you feel. They can make you feel happy, loved, and even relaxing.
When something you own are insignificant for some, it can mean a lot to you. I own a lot of stuffs, too many to be exact. lol
When people say that you can't buy happiness, I disagree. I'm not ashamed to say that material things do make me happy. They are not only objects, they contains memories in them.
Even without any awesome memories in them, I feel happy when I see certain things I own. You make your own happiness. You decide what makes you happy. Don't let anyone tell you what to love or what to hate.
So what if you own too many stuffs. Even if that object gave to temporally happiness, you were happy and not sad for that moment. It's not a waste of money even if that thing made you felt happy for even a minute. A minute of happiness if better than a minute of nothing.
Spending money you earned and spending money you don't own is another story. You buys this thing that makes you very happy, but later on you don't have the money to pay your bills. That's the kind of money you should not spend. It's okay to feel happy like I said, but not okay if you will feel stressed out and hopeless afterwards. It's okay for happiness to fade away, but not okay if it will bring sadness later on.
One last thing, say NO to credit cards. Credit cards are money you don't own. If you have the money, get a debit card. And if you don't have the money, don't buy. Debts bring sadness in life and money well spend are money that makes you feel happy.

My Beauty Diary: 2-Step Europe Clarifying Pack
My number one mask! Thank you Bubzbeauty for the recommendation. This mask claims that it clarifies, but it does much more than that. This mask takes my other all-in-one masks down. I still love my other masks though. This mask does everything from moisturizing to fine line reducing.
After the use of this mask, my skin was so clear and flawless. I was shocked when I used it for the first time. The second step in here is a gel. I love it. But like the other 2-Step mask, it was a little sticky at first, but this one gets absorbed faster than the other one. The result last for days. Never seen a mask that does that. You won't need to use a moisturizer for the rest of the week. I still recommend you do though, to keep your skin moisturize for a longer time.
People with any type of skin can use this pack. Especially the ones that need moisturizing and clarifying. This mask also brighten up your face, making it look super clear and flawless. The smell is very calming and not likely to cause any allergy reactions. By far, I think this can be one of the MBD's top mask they have made so far.
Favorite of all, no doubt! Will keep purchasing when running low.

My Beauty Diary: 2-Step Asia Brightening Pack
This 2-Step mask comes with a sheet mask and a cream. The top part is a cream that you apply after using the mask. This mask helps brighten skin up and moisturizes very well also. It gives you this translucent bright look. The cream is supposed to help with fine line and add more moisture.
Since I don't have any fine lines, I can't tell you how well it works with them, but I can tell you that it's one the best whitening masks out there in the market. After an hour, the mask is still very wet. The pack is full of serum that you could use for your neck and hands.
The cream might be little sticky for a while. It can take some time for it to sink into the skin. The smell is great. Can't tell what it is, but it smells great.

My Beauty Diary: Black Pearl Mask
The Black Pearl Mask was the first sheet mask that I bought from MBD. It was the one that made me fall in love with the rest. This mask is still one of my favorites.
This is my third box. Many acne scars cleared up because of this mask. It whitens skin and moisturizes very well. It claims to have pearl powder in it. I have to thank it for helping go through a tough time with my acne scars. Of course, it does not fade it immediately. Everything takes time, but with constant use, it helps very much.
It have a decent amount of serum in it. I also hear is one of the best selling masks from MBD.

MBD: Japanese Cherry Blossom Mask & Bulgarian White Rose Mask
Posted by Unknown on 2:45 PM · 0 comments
I will be reviewing two MBD masks in this post.
Japanese Cherry Blossom Mask
Bulgarian White Rose Mask
The Bulgarian White Rose Mask is also a all-in-one mask for me. It does everything that the Japanese Cherry Blossom Mask does and a little more.
This mask makes my skin so bright and whitened that it looks like I just had one a very expensive long facial. I uses my masks mostly at night like I mentioned at my previous posts. It helps enhanced the effect to its maximum. My skin would look transparent white. Not ghostly, but super flawless supermodel skin you see on magazines.
I only use this mask a day before a very special occasion.
Overall, these two masks are a must try for skincare junkies. Any skin type.

My Beauty Diary: Sake Yeast Mask = "Drunk Mask" lol
The smell might be of alcohol, but the mask does not contain that high amount of alcohol. I do believe that all the MBD masks that I own have a very small amount of alcohol in it. This mask is my go to mask for clarifying. When my skin is dull, this mask helps clarify it. Even though I've found a new favorite clarifying mask (also from MBD). <-- I'll write another separate review about it later.
I like this mask very much, but i can say that this is the least favorite of all my favorite MBD masks. I don't find it as moisturizing as other masks.

MBD: Bird's Nest Mask = Super Moisture!
Posted by Unknown on 2:16 PM · 0 comments
The first of the My Beauty Diary (MBD) mask that I'm going to review is the Bird's Nest Mask.
I have another name for this mask and it's "Super Moisture Mask"! This mask is the most moisturizing of all other MBD masks that I've owned. This mask gives your face the super dewy look without the oiliness. I usually uses my mask before bed. Sleep helps maximize the effects of skincare products.
By the next morning, my skin was still as moisturize or even more.
As for brightening, it makes your face look brighter just because of how moisturize it is. Other might give you a better brightening or whitening effect than this. The smell is light and the serum from the mask is very rich.
If you are looking for a good moisturizing mask, I'll recommend this one. But if you are mainly about whitening, then this might not be it.

Current favorite sheet masks! My Beauty Diary

My Beauty Diary is one my absolute favorite brand of sheet masks. They came out with many different kinds. Whitening, moisturizing, clarifying, etc...
I find that all the ones that I have are very moisturizing. Something I need especially for the winter time.
What I love about them is that while I still have oily skin, it helps balance my skin's moisture. It does not overly moisturizes your skin making it too oily.
Due to cold weather and lack of sleep, my skin is getting very dry nowadays. It looks dull and uneven. But when I have time to use the mask, it immediately brighten up skin, making it moisturize and even toned.
You just leave the mask on for around 25 minutes. I alway leave them on for an hour. It does not break me out. Even though the effect might stay as long as a day or two, with constant use of the masks, you skin will be maintained well. I do think that it is great to use for any skin type. They have light, decent fragrances. It might not be too strong to cause an allergic reaction, but of course, I really can't tell since we all might react differently to a certain thing.
I own many kinds of face masks, but the sheet masks are the one I go to when my skin need some decent brightening or moisturizing. I will be writing a review for each of the kind of sheet mask I own from My Beauty Diary. It might be on the Beauty / Style soon.
This is how I store My Beauty Diary masks. Gotta restock soon! ;)
